March 2004

It was good to see so many Members at the February meeting.

I thought the presentation given by John Connelly from the New York State Department of Transportation was excellent.

I was pleased to see involvement by the students from Farmingdale. This is the direction we need to pursue and get more young people involved in our organization.

I hope to see you all at the March meeting.

Time is ticking away and our EXPO is getting closer. Please get your exhibit table reservations in before it is too late. Based on the past few years, we will sell out all of our tables so don't be left out. Flyers and free admission tickets will be going out in the mail shortly. Please distribute the tickets to all those you think will benefit from our EXPO. If you need more tickets, please call me at (718) 388-0426 or you can order tickets online at our web site at

You will be receiving a survey letter in the mail that we ask you to fill out and return to us. The purpose of the letter is to provide feedback for the Diesel Technology program, which is sponsored by the Society and Farmingdale State University. This survey will allow us to identify the specific needs of our Members and to better serve those needs. Please use the pre-paid, self address envelope that will accompany the survey. Your input will be crucial in determining the effectiveness of the Diesel Technology program in preparing qualified technicians for the field. Thanks in advance for your response.
