April 2003

MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT - WILLIAM MCVEIGH

Although I was not able to attend March's meeting I heard it was a huge success. Many thanks go to Mike Cafiero for his excellent stewardship of the meeting.

I heard Mike Iannizzi worked tirelessly raising money for the Kiddy Picnic and was able to get quite a bit of money pledged for toys for the children. Thanks Mike.

The April program will be sponsored and presented by Metro Truck and Trailer Inc. on Thermo King air conditioning. If the summer is half as hot as the winter was cold, you won't want to miss this meeting.

Hope to see you all at the April meeting.

ARRANGEMENTS - CHEECH ALMONA

The EXPO is here! Keep Wednesday, April 23rd open on your calendar and come to our EXPO at the New Hyde Park Inn. We got a room full of exhibits and a yard full of vehicles to check out. A lot of work went into organizing this event and all the Members of the EXPO Committee did a great job in putting this event together. If you need admission tickets for your guests and co-workers, please call me or apply for them online on the Society's web site at www.sfsny.org. There will be a limited amount of tickets available at the door.

We are at the New Hyde Park Inn for the April and May meetings.

As I stated at the April meeting, I need letters of support from the Membership for a diesel engine technician program to be offered by Farmingdale University. Time is running short so please call me at (718) 821-4096 for details.
