March 2001

February's meeting provided us with a very informative program on the WABCO, Anti-lock Braking System (A.B.S.). Our thanks to Mark Arterton (Northeast District Service Mgr.) and James Sheridan (Northeast District Sales Mgr.) of ArvinMeritor, for the program they presented. As we all are aware, we cannot purchase a vehicle today without an A.B.S. braking system. This requires us to again, bring our tech's up to speed on another electronic component on our vehicles. Although new vehicles are covered under warranty, we will be facing problems with these systems in the future. The fact that we can get FREE TRAINING from ArvinMeritor, is a great advantage to us all. The diagnostic disc (that can be used in your shop PC's) will give us the opportunity to determine where the problems are, in these systems. Mark, or, James can be contacted @ 800-535-5560. Thanks to Don Aull for this presentation, if there are any programs that you are interested in, please contact Don.
