Michael N. Cafiero
Our 2001 Member of the Year, Michael N. Cafiero, the Commercial Fuels Manager for Petro, Inc. has been an active, generous and supportive Member of the Society of Fleet Supervisors for the past 15 years since being introduced to us by his friend and mentor, Hank Hasiwar. His Society involvement has included past Chairman of the Membership Committee, Legislative Committee and a member in many other Society committees.
He grew up in Brooklyn, New York and attended Hofstra University in Long Island, New York where he received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 1980 where he majored in Marketing. Upon graduating, he signed a Free Agent Contract with the New York Jets Football Organization as an Offensive Lineman. This unforgettable and valuable experience prepared him for the challenges within the business community.
His success in the oil industry is based on integrity, perseverance and a hard work ethic. His 18 years of experience in the oil industry has enabled him to employ a multitude of skills required to build and maintain a broad client base in the commercial fuels market. His job responsibilities include the design, packaging, promotion and sales of various energy products which include diesel motor fuel, gasoline, heating oils and service related products. He strives for excellence and always maintains a most respectful demeanor both professionally and personally. He is well recognized in the industry as "a true professional", striving for total customer satisfaction.
He is married since 1980 to his wife, Maria, and presently reside in Belle Mead, NJ. They have 2 children, Nicholas, 11 and Daniel, 8.
Mike is also a Community Mayor of New York, an organization dedicated to helping children with special needs.
