Frank Almona

Frank Almona known as "Cheech" to all of his dear friends was born on March 19, 1946 in Astoria, Queens. He lived in Astoria for only a couple of years, then moved to Mineola, Long Island where he spent most of his life and schooling. Later on he moved back to Astoria where he graduated from Brooklyn Automotive. By this time he was working for a place called Contractor Supply Company as an apprentice. By 1964, he was drafted into the Armed Forces where he served two years in Vietnam. In 1966, he was finished fighting the war and returned stateside where he started to work for Contractor Supply Company as a Fleet Supervisor. In 1970, Frankie became a member of the Society and an outstanding member to this day.

Frankie is also the President of Allboro Engine Company, which is one of the largest engine rebuilders in the tri-state area. He has served as an active member with the Society for seventeen years as Arrangements Chairman, two years as Vice-President, two years as President and two years as President’s Advisor. Frankie has helped the Society tremendously through the years to bring them to where they are today.

On a personal note, Frankie is married to his lovely wife Celia, they have been married for a few years now.
