Frank Almona known as "Cheech" to all his dear friends was born on March 10, 1946 in Astoria, Queens. He lived in Astoria for only a couple of years then moved to Mineola, Long Island where he spent most of his life and schooling. Later on he moved back to Astoria where he graduated from Brooklyn Automotive High School. By this time Cheech was working for a place called Contractors Supply Company as an apprentice. During 1964, he was drafted into the U.S. Army where he served two years that included a tour in Vietnam. In 1966 he was finished fighting the war and returned stateside where he returned to work for Contractors Supply Company as a fleet Supervisor. In 1970, Cheech became a member of the Society and remains an outstanding member to this day.

Cheech is the President of All Boro Engine Exchange which is one of the largest engine rebuilders in the tri-state area. In 2003 All Boro Engine Exchange moved to 75 Frost Street in Brooklyn together with his cousin Michael Ricatto and his nephew Tom Almona and together they opened Advanced Fleet Maintenance. Advanced Fleet Maintenance is a heavy duty authorized Allison Transmission Rebuilder. Frank's dream was to incorporate engine and transmission rebuilding under one roof. After 35 years of hard work, Along with his partners, they have one of the largest drive train shops in the five boroughs.

Cheech has served as an active Member with the Society for past thirty-eight years holding various positions such as the Arrangements Committee Chairman, two years as Vice President, two years as President and two years as President's Advisor. Frank was awarded the Society's highest honor in 1991 as our "Member of the Year". Cheech has helped the Society tremendously through the years to bring us to where we are today.
