Donald T. Aull was born in Brooklyn, NY in March of 1960. He was raised in Brooklyn and Staten Island and graduated from Bishop Ford Central Catholic High School. After high school, Don attended and graduated from Engine City Tech in Union, NJ.

Don married his lovely wife, Lisa Ann in 1985. They have 2 children, 13 year old Alexander, and 9 year old Jessica. The Aulls currently reside in Dongan Hills Colony on Staten Island, NY. His interests include music, home theater, motorcycles, teaching automotive & truck trades, and home improvement.

Starting out in the industry as a mechanic's apprentice at Glasofer Freightliner Mack in Elizabeth, NJ. Don worked his way up the ladder at the dealership to class "A" mechanic and then on to foreman in 5 years time. Don was also with Foley Caterpillar as a Training Manager and an Advanced Engine Instructor at Engine City Tech. His love of technical training has him involved as a partner at AC Technical Enterprises, Ltd. where he holds specialized technical seminars in many various topics in the Automotive, Marine, Off-Highway and Industrial industries.

Don has been retired from the New York City Department of Sanitation and Department of Transportation since 2001. He was a Research and Development Engineer dealing with product research, specification writing and failure analysis for a fleet of over 6,000 vehicles.

Shortly after retiring from NYCDOS, Don worked with New York Commercial Lubricants, d/b/a Metrolube, one of the largest Mobil oil distributors in the tri state area. He attended Mobil Lube Engineer training down in Virginia to become a certified lube application engineer. He spec'ed out a new state of the art fleet of tankers and box trucks for the company. He also was involved with the design of a complex oil tank farm and pumping system for oil storage. The system has been approved and certified by UL Testing for accuracy and precise delivery of a multitude of different and specialized oils. He ran the fleet of 14 delivery trucks, hired and trained new drivers. Along with his co-manager Joe V. they set up efficient routes and delivery schedules for over a 1,000 customers.

After leaving Metrolube Don has devoted his time to the heavy-duty industry through AC Technical Services, which is owned and operated by, Don and his partner Bob. His love for the Industry has expanded in many aspects through AC Technical such as consulting, teaching, testifying and OSHA safety training.

Don is also teaching for Delhi College of Technology, SUNY. He trains the New York State DOT, many of the State agencies such as Parks, Corrections and Institutions. He also works with H&W Marketing bringing many Heavy Duty component manufacturers to the Industry. If that is not enough work for a retiree, Don also does work for the New Jersey Consumer Affairs in the automotive division.

Don is a Board member of the Metropolitan Section of the Society of Automotive Engineers, member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers and an Automotive Service Excellence certified mechanic. Don also volunteers time in his community as a member of the Dongan Hills Civic Association of Staten Island.

Don has served as Chairman of the Membership Committee since joining the Society in September of 1997. He has recruited many new Members in this brief period. Don was instrumental in acquiring and setting up the speaker system that we utilize during the program presentations at our General Membership Meetings. He later served as Chairman of the Programs Committee, which he held the position for two years where he successfully brought many good topics and speakers to each meeting.
