When it comes to providing peace of mind and safety for our children, there is no better fleet supervisor than Mr. Mark Kodner the Director of Maintenance for We Transport/Towne Bus in Jamaica NY.
Mark started in the automotive industry as an Assistance Manager for a National Transmission chain in 1977. He continued in the transmission industry for the next 5 years before moving onto a car dealership service facility as an assistant service manager.
In 1995 he became the branch manager for Butler Fleet Services, handling a fleet of approximately 900 Bell Atlantic Vehicles and 20 technicians throughout the Borough of Queens and Staten Island.
In April 2001 he was hired as the Shop Manager for We Transport/Towne Bus where Mark is in charge of the management of 10 technician and 2 fuelers at two separate locations covering the maintenance, service and repairs of over 275 school buses. Mark daily responsibilities includes DOT inspections, Comprehensive Scheduling of preventative maintenance criteria, ordering of all parts, inventory and stocking of such.
Mark enjoys spending time with family and friends and as recently volunteered his services to the Executive Board as Chair Person for our Society Journal.
The Society welcomes Mark and thanks him for always putting the safety and comfort of our most precious children first.
