The evolution of the Fleet Supervisor has certainly changed over the years and is quite evident through our Supervisor of The Month, Michael Cordiello of Logan Bus Company and Affiliates. At his Bronx Bus Facility, Michael, in addition to running one of the largest bus and maintenance garages in the greater metropolitan area, is also actively involved in the design and construction of perhaps one of the finest maintenance complexes to date.

Michael started his career in 1981 as a mechanic's helper for the Logan Bus Company and Affiliates who operate school bus transportation for the children of the City of New York. Through hard work and due diligence, Michael quickly elevated himself to a first class mechanic and in 1998 was offered the opportunity to be the Fleet Supervisor at the Logan Bronx Bus Terminal. At this location Michael oversees 425 school bus units, supervises a staff of mechanics helpers and oilers in addition to operating a comprehensive budget to include the purchase of parts, materials, and vehicle accessories. This bus depot under Michael's guidance will provide full service air conditioning repairs, all PM inspection programs, comprehensive maintenance and service as well as pre DOT inspection readiness.

Michael also regularly attends the DOT Motor Carrier Safety Conference in Saratoga, New York where he evaluates new requirements pertaining to safety and compliance guidelines necessary for him to implement at his facility throughout the year.

Michael enjoys outdoor water sports, which include jet skiing, and he has recently picked up a passion for playing golf, a sport, that certainly makes him the quintessential Fleet Supervisor.

Michael currently resides in Westbury, New York with his lovely wife Lynn and their two daughters Nichole, 15 and Amanda, 10, all of whom are extremely proud of Michael's hard work ethic both on the job and at home.
